At Matariki we did heaps of neat things. We did colouring in and dancing and print making.

On matariki all the year 5 and 6 children went into other classes and made Matariki artwork and learnt a dance.

On The 24th Of June The Totara Syndicate Had A Day Off Work To Celebrate Matariki The Maori New Year! We Went Around 4 Classes. Room 1, 2, 7 & 8! In Room 1 We Did A Dance Routine. In Room 2 We Did Drawing & Learned About Stones. In Room 7 We Did Print Making & In Room 8 We Made Poi!

Yesterday we had Matariki we had 4 activities which were drawing,dancing,making poi and stamps my favourite was drawing.

Yesterday we had a matariki day where we went to 4 different classes and made and poi and other things.We had no maths spelling reading and all those boring (IMPORTANT)things.

yesterday at ncs we had matariki day and we had lots of events. one of them was boing a little dance for sue and another one was making a tiki picture and one was really fun and it was making a poi and yea that was matariki day.

On the 24th of june it was matariki.
The way we celebrated matariki is each class went into a different
class and we did matariki activities like.... drawing a picture of a tiki, plus we
made poi's and we made up some dancers and we made paper prints of matariki.

It was really fun well at least better than maths and reading and stuff!!!

Matariki: What is it?

Matariki is the Maori new year. It is also called Pleadies or the Seven Sisters.

Matariki starts in June, always. Yesterday, the 24th, all the senior classes went round to each class and did Matariki activities.  There was print making in room 7, dancing in room 1, poi making in room 8 and pictures in room 2.

Yesterday it was matariki. We had a class interchange all day. At room 1 we made up a little dance, at room 2 we did a cool picture, at room 7 we made printing blocks and at room 8 we made poi.

On Matariki we changed different classes through the whole day no maths! The thing I liked was making Poi and stamps.

This is cross country at Nelson Central school when we test out our skills at running. I came 11th in cross country. It was exhausting but it was worth it.

Keegan is not that great at running but he's a great soccer player (so there!). Toby is pretty good at running. I think Toby and Keegan had a great run at the cross country last week.

On Wednesday last week we had cross country.
We had to run around the school 2 times and this is me at the finish line I was tired but then I did the open race where I came 26 in the open and 3rd in my age. I had finaly beat Jullette yay.

a few weeks ago we did cross country at school the whole school competed I forgot where I came.

This is me doing the Cross Country I was going super fast the camera could hardly catch me (he he!) I came about 12th in the 9 year old boys which was not bad and also how do you like my hairdoo?!

Here's me going at super sonic speeds, so fast in fact that the camera couldn't catch my awesome hair style! I came tenth out of the 10 year old boys and I had just turned ten so I did pretty well, considering I was just behind Keegan (Damn you Keggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
